Salted chocolate chip cookies

Method

1. 1Step 1. Whisk the melted butter with both sugars until smooth. Whisk in the eggs one at a time, then the vanilla.
2. 2Step 2. Stir in the flour, baking soda and salt until just combined. Fold in the chocolate.
3. 3Step 3. Cover and chill the dough at least 1 hour, or up to 3 days.
4. 4Step 4. Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Line two sheet pans with parchment.
5. 5Step 5. Scoop 2-tablespoon balls of dough onto the pans, 2 inches apart. Sprinkle each with a pinch of flaky salt.
6. 6Step 6. Bake 11 to 13 minutes, until the edges are golden and the centers still look slightly underdone. Let them sit on the pan 5 minutes before moving.
